Age Categories
1. Youth under 18

2. Adults 18 and older

Judging Points Scale: Horticultural Value 40%, Photographic Value 40% and Appearance and Impact 20%
Classes
1. “Spring Blooms” : a photo of the first blooms of the season!
2. “Climbing Plant” : up, up, and away! 
3. “A Garden Visitor” : snap a photo of a garden visitor… friend or foe!
4. “Unique Tree Feature” : photos of curved or twisted trunks, an interesting branch, etc.
5. “Harvest Display” : have a successful harvest? show us!
6. “Fall Colours” : showcase the brilliance of the season’s colours

Rules
1. Photos must have been taken in Ontario and/or Quebec.
2. Only one entry per exhibitor per class.
3. The same image may be entered only once.
4. Photos may be adjusted for lighting and colour balance, but should not be enhanced by adding or
eliminating photo elements.
5. Email entries to deepriverhortsoc@gmail.com – Subject line: “Photo Contest”. Please provide entries in .jpg
format with as high a resolution as possible.
7. Please include your age category, class name, and class number for each photo or digital submission.
